Travel toward the remote desert town of Merzouga, passing through Ifrane, where you will stop near the iconic lion statue and enjoy the city’s clean streets and landscaped gardens. The route continues through vast cedar forests, offering a chance to see Barbary apes in their natural habitat. Cross the Tizi n Talghamt Pass and the Ziz Gorge, enjoying sweeping views of the surrounding plateaus as the environment slowly becomes more arid near Errachidia. Stop here for lunch and experience the warm hospitality of the local Berber community.
